ISLAMABAD, October 9,:
In another remarkable success against international drug traffickers, the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has dismantled a major drug trafficking organization (DTO) involved in smuggling heroin to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Acting on credible intelligence and employing advanced surveillance techniques, ANF arrested 11 members of the network — including the kingpin Nadeem Khan, a pharmacist, four women, and other facilitators — effectively exposing and neutralizing the entire group.

The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) received credible intelligence information that international drug trafficking networks were using operatives to lure poor and less-educated young couples from various cities across the country, to serve as drug carriers for smuggling heroin to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In line with modern investigative standards and using advanced technical methods, ANF conducted both physical and digital surveillance of the suspects. Through that process, it was discovered that members of an international drug trafficking organisation (DTO) were deceiving poor and uneducated youth from underprivileged areas, showing them false dreams of a better future and convincing them to smuggle heroin to the UAE by concealing it in their abdomens in the form of ingested capsules.

As a result of enhanced monitoring at all airports across the country, four young couples linked to that network were arrested from two airports while attempting to travel abroad with heroin-filled capsules in their abdomens. Following those arrests, ANF utilized modern investigative techniques to apprehend the kingpin of the network, Nadeem Khan, along with his three facilitators.

In total, 11 members of this international smuggling group, including the kingpin, a pharmacist, and four women, were arrested, successfully dismantling the network. The identities of other absconding members connected to this network have also been established, and they will soon be brought to justice.

Despite its limited manpower and resources, the ANF remains fully committed and dedicated to eradicating international drug trafficking networks. The Force stands firm in its resolve to prevent the smuggling of narcotics from Pakistan to the world in general, and to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states in particular.
