Pak Delegation Meets United Kingdom Delegation at 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference

KARACHI: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Yousuf Raza Gillani, accompanied by Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Awais Qadir Shah and Senator Rubina Khalid, met with the delegation of the United Kingdom at the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, hosted by the Parliament of Barbados and the CPA Barbados Branch.

 

The United Kingdom delegation was led by Kate Osamor MP, accompanied by Lord Syed Kamall, Member of the House of Lords, and David Mundell MP.

 

The Pakistani delegation also included Secretary of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Hasnain Haider; Secretary Provincial Assembly of Sindh, G.M. Umar Farooq; and Director General, Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Irfan Ahmed Memon.

Both delegations exchanged views on global and regional politics, bilateral relations, and mutual cooperation.

 

Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh invited the United Kingdom delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference being hosted by the Sindh Branch in 2026.
