Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the launch of a coordinated polio campaign across all 36 districts of Balochistan. Over the next seven days, more than 2.6 million children are to receive protective polio drops.
Addressing the public via social media, he emphasized that this is a national duty requiring participation from parents, teachers, clerics, and civil society. He expressed satisfaction that no polio cases have been reported this year from Balochistan, crediting the joint efforts of the provincial government, health department, and field workers.
Bugti reiterated that the government is working with full seriousness and resolve to make Balochistan polio-free. He ordered that field teams be fully equipped and that no union council or district area should be left uncovered. He praised field workers, volunteers, scholars, and local representatives, saying their dedication is driving progress toward a healthy future.
