Mufti Mehmood Was a Symbol of Integrity, Principles, and Service to Humanity: Hameen Das Ajwani

Naseerabad, October 15, 2025 — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader and former Senator Hameen Das Ajwani paid rich tribute to Mufti Mehmood (RA) on his death anniversary, describing him as a great scholar and a visionary leader who left a lasting impact on Pakistan’s politics and the Muslim Ummah through his wisdom, piety, and foresight.

Ajwani said Mufti Mehmood (RA) established a perfect balance between religion and politics, words and actions, and his political career was marked by integrity, service, and selflessness. He never sought power for personal gain but stood firm for truth, justice, and the rights of the people.

He added that as Chief Minister, Mufti Mehmood set an example of simplicity, honesty, and public service, and his era remains a shining chapter of transparency and justice in Pakistan’s political history.

“The Mufti Mehmood Conference is not merely an event but a renewal of commitment,” Ajwani remarked. “The principles and steadfastness upon which Mufti Mehmood built his political struggle continue to serve as a guiding light for all politicians.”

He further said that under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, JUI is following the path of Mufti Mehmood, promoting religious and democratic values, addressing public issues, and strengthening national unity.
