CM Sarfraz Bugti Announces Job and Financial Assistance for Brother of PPP Worker Martyred in Karsaz Tragedy — Pays Glowing Tribute to Democratic Martyrs

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has announced a government job and financial assistance for the brother of PPP Balochistan’s martyred worker, Khalil Ahmed Smalani, who lost his life in the tragic Karsaz incident.

In his message on the anniversary of the tragedy, CM Bugti said that workers like Khalil Ahmed Smalani sacrificed their lives for the protection and promotion of democracy, and their names will forever remain written in the golden chapters of Pakistan’s political history.

He emphasized that such brave sons of Balochistan are the pride of the nation, and the provincial government stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of these heroes, ensuring that their sacrifices are duly honored and supported.

He further added that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s leadership was a beacon of democratic strength and national unity, and her followers, through their sacrifices, reinforced the foundations of a democratic Pakistan.

Reaffirming his stance, CM Bugti stated that the Government of Balochistan continues to promote democratic values, political tolerance, and social justice across the province and the country.

The Karsaz tragedy, which occurred on October 18, 2007, during Benazir Bhutto’s historic homecoming rally in Karachi, claimed the lives of dozens of democratic workers, including Smalani, and left hundreds injured.
