Karachi Police Achieve Major Success Against Vehicle Lifters and Street Criminals — Two Gangsters Arrested in Police Encounter

Karachi, Oct19, — Under the vigilant supervision of SSP AVLC/SIU Amjad Ahmed Shaikh, Karachi police conducted a successful crackdown against vehicle lifters and street criminals, ensuring the safety of citizens and their property. During a police encounter, two gangsters were apprehended in an injured condition while armed.
Key Details of the Operation:
The encounter took place in Orangi Town Sector 11, resulting in a fire exchange between police and suspects.
Four suspects were arrested, including Nizam Din and Gulshan, who were injured. The other two suspects, Siraj Ahmed and Abdul Subhan, were also taken into custody.
Police recovered two pistols and a Honda City car (BLG-517), stolen from Sachal Police Station, FIR No. 1680/25.
The vehicle-lifting gang was recently active in Karachi, involved in car thefts and snatching, and reportedly transported stolen vehicles to interior Sindh, especially Sukkur, for resale.
Cases have been registered under FIR 356/25, 357/25, 358/25, covering criminal charges and illegal arms possession.
Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Operations:
A separate encounter near Tando Nalo Bridge, Malir City, resulted in the arrest of two terrorists linked to the banned TTP.
The arrested individuals, identified as Khalid and Adil, were injured during the encounter. Police recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from their possession.
Injured suspects were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police Statement:
SSP Amjad Ahmed Shaikh, recipient of Tamgha-e-Shujaat, stated that the operations against organized criminals and terrorist elements are part of a broader effort to secure Karachi citizens’ lives and property. The police continue to gather intelligence and pursue remaining gang members to further reduce crime in the city.
