KARACHI: In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, commonly known as Pinktober, renowned politician and philanthropist Asad Hanif visited Voice of Sindh during a special event held in collaboration with Indus Hospital to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection.

 

The event featured a scientific session hosted by Baakh Pirzada, bringing together key voices in healthcare, advocacy, and public service. Among the distinguished speakers was Dr. Nazia Lodhi, a renowned surgical oncologist from Indus Hospital, who emphasized the importance of timely screening and education in the fight against breast cancer.

 

Asad Hanif lauded the collaborative efforts of Voice of Sindh and Indus Hospital, calling them “pioneers in public health education and advocacy.” He specifically praised the visionary leadership of Dr. Abdul Bari, founder of Indus Hospital, and Dr. Umair Haroon, a prominent health communicator and advocate.
