Balochistan Chief Minister Expresses Concern Over Mining Accidents, Directs Safety Measures

Quetta, Jan. 14,: A crucial meeting was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Safaraz Bugti, to discuss the recent mining accidents in the province. The meeting, attended by provincial ministers, secretaries, and other relevant officials, reviewed the safety measures in place to prevent such incidents.

The Chief Minister expressed deep concern over the recent coal mine accidents and instructed the Mines Department to ensure that safety protocols are strictly adhered to. He also directed the department to provide compensation to the families of the victims and ensure that all necessary safety equipment is provided to the miners.

Provincial Minister for Finance and Mineral Development, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, and Opposition Leader of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Dr. Ibad Ullah Khan, were among the attendees. The meeting emphasized the need for regular inspections and monitoring to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of miners.

The Chief Minister’s directives come amid growing concerns over the safety of miners in Balochistan. The meeting was a step towards addressing these concerns and ensuring that the mining industry in the province operates safely and responsibly.
