Gilgit-Baltistan Delegation Participates in Regional Transport Ministers International Conference

Islamabad: Secretary Excise & Taxation and Transport Department, Gilgit-Baltistan, Rahman Shah, is representing the region at the ongoing two-day Regional Transport Ministers International Conference at the Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad.

The conference aims to enhance regional connectivity, trade corridors, sustainable transport infrastructure, and economic cooperation among participating countries.

Delegates include Transport Ministers from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives. Representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), International Road Transport Union (IRU), and UNESCAP are also participating.

Throughout the two-day event, delegates are engaging in detailed discussions and panel sessions on regional cooperation, transport policy, and sustainable development, sharing best practices and fostering collaboration to strengthen cross-border trade and transport networks in the region.
