In Chaman, leaders of various political parties held a joint press conference at the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) district secretariat to condemn the government’s decision to merge the Levies Force into the police. Participating leaders included Haji Jamal Achakzai (PMAP), Haji Faizullah Khan (Mazloom Awami Tehreek), Qari Imdadullah (Jamaat-e-Islami), Sadiq Khan (Weesh Zwanan), Shamsullah Khan (National Party), and Dad Muhammad Khan (PTI).

The leaders described the Levies Force as a vital institution for tribal communities, deeply rooted in local traditions and public trust. They stated that the force has always played a crucial role in maintaining law and order and that the government’s merger plan under Forum 47 violates tribal autonomy.

The press conference concluded with an announcement of a grand protest on October 26 in Chaman, urging all political, social, and business groups, as well as local citizens, to participate in large numbers.
