Karachi: Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Haider Shah reviewed security and logistical arrangements for the World Culture Festival Karachi, set to run from October 30 to December 7. The festival will feature over 1,000 artists from 141 countries, showcasing Pakistan’s culture, heritage, and commitment to peace and cross-cultural understanding.

Key officials including the Secretary Home, Commissioner Karachi, Additional IGP, and Arts Council President attended the meeting, receiving briefings on security, traffic management, sanitation, electricity, and health services.

Chief Secretary Shah directed strict security measures, uninterrupted power supply, city beautification, and effective traffic management to ensure smooth movement and convenience for visitors. A special reception desk for international guests will be set up at Karachi Airport.

The festival aims to strengthen Pakistan’s cultural diplomacy, promote tourism, and highlight Sindh’s rich heritage, diversity, and hospitality on the global stage.
