Three Dacoits Injured and Arrested in Separate Police Encounters Across Shaheed Benazirabad
SHAHEED BENAZIRABAD, Nov 3:
Police in Shaheed Benazirabad carried out three successful operations in different areas, arresting three wanted dacoits in injured condition after armed encounters. All the suspects were involved in multiple cases of robbery, theft, and attacks on police teams.
According to police reports, the first encounter took place in Qazi Ahmed, where during a patrol, armed robbers opened fire on the police party. The officers retaliated effectively, injuring and arresting one suspect identified as Zafar Hussain Waswano. A pistol and rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession. The arrested suspect was wanted in more than ten criminal cases, including robbery and police encounters.
In a separate operation, Daur Police conducted a raid near Nawabshah Link Road on a tip-off about robbers planning a heist. The criminals opened fire, prompting police retaliation. During the exchange of fire, one dacoit, Nadir alias Naro Jatoi, sustained injuries and was arrested, while his two accomplices managed to flee under the cover of darkness. The injured suspect later confessed to his involvement in several theft and robbery incidents across the district.
Meanwhile, in the Pubjo area, police were conducting snap checking when armed assailants attacked the patrol. The police responded swiftly, injuring one of the suspects identified as Mano Chandio, who was arrested on the spot, while two others escaped. The arrested suspect was shifted to hospital for medical treatment, and search operations have been launched to apprehend the remaining criminals.
A spokesperson for the District Police confirmed that all arrested suspects were habitual offenders and on the wanted list for serious crimes, including armed robbery, attempted murder, and possession of illegal weapons.
SSP Shaheed Benazirabad has commended the police teams for their bravery and professionalism, directing them to continue targeted operations to maintain peace and eliminate criminal networks from the district.
