Governor Faisal Karim Kundi Urges Youth to Lead Pakistan’s Climate Action Movement

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, addressing the National Climate Conference of Youth 2025 at Iqra University Islamabad, emphasized that combating the challenges of climate change requires collective resolve, innovation, and practical action.

He said the youth must take a leading role in tackling environmental challenges, adding that Pakistan’s sustainable future depends on empowering young leaders to shape climate policies and green initiatives.

Governor Kundi highlighted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is among the most climate-affected provinces of Pakistan, witnessing severe environmental and economic impacts this year. He urged that these challenges must be converted into green economic opportunities to strengthen resilience and ensure sustainable growth.

“Youth are not just stakeholders but the leaders of tomorrow,” he stated, calling upon local governments to collaborate with youth organizations to practically implement the Green Pakistan Initiative.

He concluded that concrete, result-oriented measures are essential to transform environmental projects into real, lasting progress for Pakistan.
