Terrorist Attack on Shangla Police Post Leaves 2 Policemen and 1 Civilian Injured
Shangla. Jan 16 A terrorist attack late night of 15th jan on a police post in Shangla’s Toa Chakser area has left two policemen and one civilian injured. The attack, which occurred around 10 pm, involved an exchange of fire between unidentified individuals and police personnel that lasted for approximately 50 minutes.
According to police sources, the injured policemen, Suleman and a security personnel’s cousin who was visiting, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Two Populus cars were also damaged in the attack.
In response to the attack, police from Alpuri and Chakiser have been dispatched to the area. Locals from Puran and surrounding areas have also arrived at the scene, armed and ready to assist.
This incident marks the second attack in Shangla within three days, following a terrorist attack on another checkpost in Puran Tehsil on Saturday that resulted in the death of a civilian and injuries to two police personnel ¹.
