Severe Water Crisis in Master Colony, Sarki Kalan — Government Tube Well Out of Order for Two Months, Residents Deprived of Every Drop

Independent Report
Quetta (Complaint Cell):
Residents of Master Colony, Sarki Kalan, have been facing an acute water shortage for the past two months due to the breakdown of the area’s only government tube well. Despite repeated appeals, neither the concerned authorities nor the elected representatives have taken any practical steps to restore the water supply.

According to locals, the closure of the tube well has forced residents to rely on private water tankers, which are exploiting the situation by charging exorbitant rates. The so-called “tanker mafia” has dramatically increased prices, making it nearly impossible for ordinary citizens — especially low-income families — to afford clean water.

Residents lamented that several written complaints and requests for repairs were submitted to the concerned department and local MPA, but no response has been received. The area now presents a distressing picture, with people struggling daily for a single bucket of water.

The residents have urged the district administration and the provincial government to take immediate action to repair the government tube well and restore regular water supply to provide much-needed relief to the public.
