Monthly Review Meeting of PHI Washuk Emphasizes Online Attendance and DHIS-II Data Quality

Washuk – The monthly review meeting of the Pakistan Health Initiative (PHI) Washuk was held at the DSU Office Basimah under the chairmanship of District Support Manager, Mushtaq Ahmed Baloch. The meeting was attended by Deputy District Health Officer Washuk Dr. Inayatullah Isa Zai, District Surveillance Officer WHO Washuk Dr. Shehzad Isa Zai, DSV EPI Jaleel Ahmed Isa Zai, PHI M&E Officer Athar Jamali, Third-Party Monitor Ubaid Isa Zai, along with the complete medical and paramedical staff.

During the session, various health-related issues were discussed, and assurances were given for addressing multiple agenda items and challenges. Special focus was placed on ensuring online attendance at BHUs and reviewing the monthly DHIS-II progress reports. Attendees were instructed to maintain high standards of DHIS-II data quality and ensure timely reporting in the district health sector.

Addressing the meeting, DSM PHI Washuk Mushtaq Ahmed Baloch said that basic healthcare facilities are being made accessible to people in rural areas at their doorstep. The provision of medicines and other essential services is continuously monitored. BHU staff were instructed not only to ensure their attendance but also to submit daily OPD and DHIS-II reports through relevant apps. Staff facing any difficulties were advised to seek guidance from the DSU Washuk office. He also warned that non-compliance with PHI Head Office directives could result in departmental action, including suspension of salaries.

Deputy District Health Officer Dr. Inayatullah Isa Zai highlighted that from November 17 to 29, a measles-rubella vaccination campaign will be conducted. Children aged six months to five years must receive the vaccine, and BHU staff are tasked to raise awareness among parents to ensure their children are protected from these serious diseases.
