NP decides to oppose 27th Constitutional Amendment

QUETTA: The National Party (NP) has decided to oppose the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment.
According to central spokesperson for the National Party, after the draft of the 27th Amendment was presented in the Senate, consultations were held with legal experts.
In addition, detailed discussions were also conducted with party officials regarding the amendment.
The spokesperson stated that the 27th Constitutional Amendment is equivalent to weakening the fundamental spirit and constitutional framework of the Constitution. Therefore, the party’s constitutional bodies have, by a majority vote, rejected the 27th Amendment, and the party would oppose it in Parliament.
