Sindh Women’s Minister Distributes Certificates and Sewing Machines to Empower Skilled Women in Lyari

KARACHI, Nov 9, 2025: Sindh Minister for Women Development, Shahina Sher Ali, emphasized that the Sindh Government is taking practical measures at every level to empower women and promote their economic independence through education and skills training.

She expressed these views while attending an award distribution ceremony organized by the Kutchi Kumbhar Khidmat-e-Khalq Welfare Association at the Vocational Training Institute in Lyari.

The event was attended by Lyari Town Chairman Nasser Kareem, Association President Rafiq Mara, Women’s Wing Convener Nosheen Javed, and several community representatives.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister Shahina Sher Ali appreciated the association’s efforts to promote vocational education for girls and women, establish welfare programs, and launch the Ladies Wing for community welfare.

She assured full cooperation from the Sindh Government for institutions working toward women’s welfare and professional development.

Later, the Minister distributed certificates and sewing machines among students who had successfully completed beautician, mehndi, tailoring, and IT courses.
