(Report by Qurban Khoso) — Dadu CIA Police, acting on a confidential tip-off, conducted a successful operation near Mehar Bypass and recovered three-year-old Shireen, who had been missing for a month. According to CIA In-charge Lady Inspector Benazir Jamali, the operation was carried out under court orders and based on credible intelligence.
Meanwhile, Reema Noonari, a resident of village Thodha in Taluka Mehar, had filed a recovery petition in the court of the Fourth Additional Sessions Judge (Women and Juvenile Court) against her ex-husband, Zohaib Thoro, under Section 491 of the CrPC. She also filed two separate applications under Sections 22A and 22B of the CrPC, accusing him of breaking into her house, assaulting her, cutting her hair, and humiliating her.
Following the court’s directives, SSP Dadu Captain (R) Amir Saud ordered registration of an FIR at Mehar Police Station against Zohaib Thoro and two unidentified individuals based on Reema Noonari’s complaint. The recovery case had been pending for nearly a month. During the last hearing, the court reprimanded the JIT In-charge, Inspector Noor Hussain Chhachhar, expressing strong displeasure and issued a show-cause notice to DSP Investigation Abdul Ghani for failing to produce the child. The court also directed SSP Dadu to ensure the child’s production in court and adjourned the hearing till November 13.
Speaking to the media at the police station, Reema Noonari said, “My ex-husband forcibly took my daughter after physically assaulting and humiliating me. Despite registration of the case on SSP’s orders, the accused remains on bail, and Mehar Police are trying to protect him due to his influence.”
She further alleged that her life and that of her relatives are in danger, claiming that the accused belongs to a powerful feudal family. “I will take this case to the Supreme Court to seek justice and ensure punishment for those responsible for my daughter’s abduction,” she vowed.
Further legal proceedings and the court appearance of the recovered child are expected tomorrow.
