Authorities uncovered extensive smuggling of Iranian diesel and petrol on buses and coasters traveling from Bela and Lakhra to Karachi. Smugglers installed hidden fuel tanks under seats and vehicle floors, putting passengers’ lives at serious risk.

Residents and commuters have demanded immediate action by district authorities to revoke permits of involved vehicles and enforce strict safety regulations. Experts warned that continued smuggling could lead to disastrous accidents, citing previous incidents on the Main Quetta Highway and Makran Coastal Highway.
