Gwadar: Under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner General Dr. Abdul Shakoor, a review meeting was held on the second day of the Measles/Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign. The meeting was attended by District Health Officer Dr. Yasir Tahir, DS MP PHI Dr. Murshid Dashti, WHO DSO Dr. Zafar Iqbal, and Deputy DHO Dr. Shahnawaz Baloch.
The meeting reviewed campaign performance, targeted children coverage, and challenges faced in schools during vaccination. The campaign, which began on November 17, will continue until November 29. Children who missed vaccination for any reason will be fully covered the following day.
The district administration directed all stakeholders and health teams to coordinate effectively to ensure timely and safe provision of MR vaccines to all children.
Monitoring Visit in Gwadar
DS MP PHI Dr. Murshid Dashti, along with Monitoring & Evaluation Officer EPI, Zahir Hussain, visited Union Council South Gwadar. The team inspected ORT teams in Old Mulla Band and the fixed vaccination site at BHU, providing immediate guidance to staff regarding campaign quality and potential gaps.
These monitoring activities demonstrate the district administration’s commitment to ensuring high standards and complete coverage to safeguard children in Gwadar.
