Islamabad — The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has executed a coordinated series of seven operations across Pakistan, arresting four suspects, including a Nigerian national, and recovering 417.69 kilograms of narcotics worth over PKR 375 million, the spokesperson said on Thursday.
International Drug Interdiction
Karachi: ANF recovered 93 grams of heroin concealed in a lady’s purse inside a parcel destined for the United Kingdom.
Domestic Interdiction Operations
1. Karachi: From a motorcyclist near a courier office, ANF seized 348,000 diazepam tablets weighing 106.8 kg.
2. Islamabad: At a bus stop on Islamabad Expressway, 75 grams of cocaine was recovered from a Nigerian national, who was arrested.
3. Peshawar (GT Road): ANF intercepted a vehicle and recovered 9.6 kg opium; one accused was arrested.
4. Peshawar (Nasir Bagh Road): 1 kg crystal ice recovered from a car; suspect detained.
5. Chaman (Master Plan): In the largest haul, ANF recovered 300 kg heroin.
6. Chaman Border: 130 grams cocaine seized from an unattended concealed parcel.
Legal Proceedings
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and investigations are underway, the spokesperson added.
