ISLAMABAD: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti had an important meeting Speaker of National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The parliamentary leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the Balochistan Assembly, Mir Saleem Khan Khosa was also present during the meeting.
A detailed discussion was held on the overall political, social and developmental situation of Balochistan.
During the course of meeting, it was emphasized that strong relations between the federation and the provinces are essential for national unity and public welfare and special focus was placed on promoting interprovincial coordination.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq termed the rumours being circulated about a change regarding the Chief Minister of Balochistan as completely baseless.
He said that the current coalition government in Balochistan is playing wholehearted role in the province’s development, peace and prosperity.
He assured complete cooperation at every level for Balochistan and said that development of the province is, in fact, the development of Pakistan.
The meeting also included detailed discussions on the major developmental projects underway in Balochistan, public welfare and federal cooperation.
The Speaker said that the ongoing mega projects in Balochistan are encouraging and all possible support would be provided to ensure that their benefits reach the people.
He emphasized that addressing the issues of people of the province is a top priority and that strengthening coordination between the federation and Balochistan would accelerate the resolution of public problems.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti praised the Speaker’s leadership, parliamentary services and effective management of the proceedings of the House.
He also appreciated the cooperation extended by National Assembly in the legislative process of Balochistan.
Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti said that Parliament is a strong voice for the provinces and national unity can be strengthened only through joint efforts.
Speaking on the security situation, the Chief Minister stated that the people of the province and the security forces are bravely and steadfastly fighting against terrorism and all institutions stand united for peace and stability. The Speaker National Assembly and Chief Minister Balochistan reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen cooperation and coordination for the development, peace and prosperity of Balochistan.
