The Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the statement from Afghanistan alleging an attack by Pakistan is part of its broader anti-Pakistan propaganda.
While talking to senior journalists, the DG ISPR made it clear that whenever Pakistan conducts any operation, it announces it officially, and that Pakistan’s policy is against terrorism — not against the Afghan people.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that there is no distinction among terrorists, and that the Afghan regime must take verifiable action against terrorist hideouts.
He said that from 2021 to 2025, Pakistan repeatedly engaged with the Afghan government. The Taliban government should make decisions like a state, not like a non-state actor.
He further stated: “It cannot happen that we are attacked, yet trade continues as normal.”
He emphasized the need to break the nexus of terrorism and political crime along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
On this occasion, the DG ISPR also made it clear that the court-martial of Faiz Hameed is a legal and judicial process.
He added that social media accounts operating from abroad are creating a narrative against the state.
