Khuzdar, Nov. 28,
In a landmark move against systemic corruption, Commissioner Kalat Division Dr. Tufail Ahmed Baloch has dismissed a law officer/ patwari following revelations of record tampering, forged ownership documents, and large-scale irregularities in government land management in Khuzdar. The officer has been permanently declared ineligible for government service.

The decisive action has been hailed by citizens and local stakeholders as a strong signal against entrenched corruption, reinforcing that manipulation of official land records or illegal occupation will no longer be tolerated. Residents expressed hope that the probe will extend beyond a single individual to encompass all related cases, including previous allotments, township scheme irregularities, and forged land transfers that have affected rightful owners over the past 15–20 years.

Authorities confirmed that multiple instances of unauthorized record changes, fake transfers, and illegal occupation had left many genuine landowners deprived of their rights, forcing them into prolonged legal battles. Observers emphasized the need for comprehensive investigations, forensic audits, and strict action against the networks facilitating such irregularities.

Dr. Tufail Ahmed Baloch’s initiative, described as historic and bold, is expected to restore transparency and accountability in Khuzdar. Citizens urged the government to form inquiry committees, digitize land records, and implement a wide-ranging crackdown on corrupt elements and land mafias to prevent future malpractices and safeguard public assets.
