Pakistan, Turkmenistan Explore Deeper Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, 29 Nov. Senator Bibi Naseema Ehsan and former Provincial Minister Syed Ehsan Shah held a high-level diplomatic meeting with Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Momenov, in Islamabad. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing regional cooperation, promoting parliamentary links, and fostering joint initiatives in education and health sectors.

 

Ambassador Momenov highlighted the active and respected role of the Baloch community in Turkmenistan and noted the historical, cultural, and linguistic similarities between the Turkmen and Baloch peoples as a strong basis for future collaboration. Senator Bibi Naseema Ehsan underscored Pakistan’s, particularly Balochistan’s, commitment to close ties with Turkmenistan, stressing women’s political participation, social development, and regular parliamentary exchanges.

 

Syed Ehsan Shah expressed interest in expanding cooperation in education, health, and public engagement, noting that strong Pakistan-Turkmenistan relations could pave the way for regional peace, stability, and prosperity. The meeting concluded with an invitation from Ambassador Momenov for a special visit to Turkmenistan to operationalize prioritized collaboration.
