Minority Community Hails Historic Elevation of Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir as First Chief of Defence Forces

Sanghar — Pakistan’s patriotic minority community has warmly congratulated Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir on his historic appointment as the country’s first Chief of Defence Forces, describing the decision as a landmark step toward stronger national security and institutional stability.

 

In a detailed statement issued by minority leader Rajesh Kumar Hardasani and other community representatives, it was noted that Pakistan’s armed forces — including the Army, Navy and Air Force — have consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, discipline and commitment in defending the nation. They said the elevation of Gen Asim Munir reflects confidence in his transparent, decisive and visionary leadership.

 

The statement further added that under Field Marshal Munir’s continued guidance, Pakistan is expected to advance towards greater peace, unity and sustainable development. The community reaffirmed its unwavering support to the state and the armed forces, emphasizing that minority groups have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the nation in moments of pride and challenge.

 

The minority representatives also offered special prayers for the prosperity, security and defence of Pakistan, expressing hope that the new structure of defence command will further fortify national resilience
