SANGHAR: Tando Adam city turned into a vibrant hub of Sindhi culture on Sindh Cultural Day as rallies, folk dances, traditional music and a lively book fair drew large public participation across the city.
Political, social and community groups held multiple rallies from different neighbourhoods, converging at the Tando Adam Press Club. Participants wearing Sindhi topis, ajraks and other cultural attire carried symbolic axes, waved cultural flags and danced to national and folk tunes.
A major rally was led by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Sanghar district leaders Ghulam Shabbir Korejo and Irshad Brohi. The Khaskheli Rajooni Ittehad, led by Abdul Razzaq Bijoro, Qari Shoukat Bijoro and Mola Bakhsh Khaskheli, also organised a large procession. Student Ittehad leaders Mohsin Behan, Umair Behan, Bilawal Anar and Abdul Kareem Junejo mobilised a separate youth rally with significant turnout.
Members of the Khaskheli community — including Ghulam Nabi Khaskheli, Mehtab Khaskheli and Shayan Khaskheli — brought out another rally, while Comrade Shahbaz Dero led the Sindh Ittehad march. Sindh United Party leaders Gulzar Panhwar, Feroz Gul and Taimoor Khaskheli also headed energetic processions.
Hundreds of youth danced, waved cultural symbols and celebrated Sindh’s heritage as traditional songs and slogans echoed across the city, covering Tando Adam in festive colours.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Students Council Tando Adam Chapter set up a book fair at Muhammadi Chowk under the supervision of Faizan Soomro, Umar Waryah and Advocate Hanif Behan. The fair drew strong interest from students, youth and families.
Cultural Day activities continued late into the night under strict security arrangements, while municipal authorities maintained improved cleanliness across the city.
Tando Adam remained fully immersed in Sindh’s cultural spirit throughout the day.
