Islamabad, 16 December 2025:
President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the attack on a polio vaccination team in Tangi, Bajaur. Expressing deep sorrow over the deaths of Constable Sajjad Ahmed and a civilian, the President saluted the bravery and sacrifice of the victims, emphasizing that their contributions will not go in vain. He termed attacks on polio teams as an affront to humanity and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicating the crippling disease. The President affirmed that the national polio campaign will continue uninterrupted, and the resolve to achieve complete immunization will remain strong.
