Islamabad, 17 December 2025: Shakir Zeeshan Khattak has raised serious allegations against OGDCL and MOL, accusing them of misusing the name of District Karak in the name of scholarship programs like “Talent Hunt” and CSR initiatives.
In a statement submitted to the Federal Ombudsman in Islamabad, Khattak claimed that these companies are depriving deserving students from Karak while benefits are being diverted to unrelated individuals. He called the programs “merely paper-based” and alleged a systematic cycle of corruption by certain officers of OGDCL and MOL.
Khattak emphasized that while countries worldwide, the Punjab government, federal authorities, and universities offer legitimate scholarships, students from Karak—a district rich in oil, gas, and minerals—remain excluded. He added that attempts to obtain details of scholarship recipients under the Right of Information Act were refused, further indicating misallocation and misuse of funds.
He demanded that authorities ensure these companies either genuinely support Karak’s students or stop using the district’s name in their programs.
