Lahore, December 18, 2025: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has declared 2026 as the “Year of Youth,” announcing a series of major initiatives aimed at empowering students and young professionals across the province.
Addressing a ceremony in Lodhran, Maryam Nawaz announced the annual distribution of 100,000 laptops and scholarships, along with the provision of 100,000 electric bikes for students next year. She also unveiled plans to establish IT cities across Punjab and an Artificial Intelligence Center in Lahore, besides introducing the “Parwaz Card” to support skilled youth in career development and overseas employment.
Reaffirming her commitment to merit, equal development, and youth empowerment, the chief minister said the provincial government is focused on turning students’ aspirations into reality through practical measures and sustained investment.
