Quetta, December 19, 2025:
The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has announced scheduled power outages across several areas of Quetta due to development works, line shifting, and essential maintenance.
According to QESCO, on Saturday, December 20, power supply will remain suspended from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm from Sariab Grid Station feeders including Kirani, Sariab I & II, WASA, Hazara Town, Samungli Express, Sirki Road, and Industrial feeders. On the same day, outages will affect Sheikh Manda Grid Station and Quetta City Grid feeders from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, while Industrial Grid Station feeders will remain without electricity from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
On Sunday, December 21, multiple feeders of Quetta City, Sariab, and Mari Abad grids will face outages between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm. Additional shutdowns are scheduled on December 20, 22, and Monday, December 22, from various grid stations.
QESCO also confirmed testing and repair work on the 220kV transmission line on December 20 and 21, potentially causing a 200MW shortfall, to be managed through load management. The company has apologized for the inconvenience.
