Pakistan–Türkiye Naval Cooperation Reflects Deep Strategic Trust: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday congratulated the Pakistan Navy, defence experts and all stakeholders on the commissioning of the second MILGEM-class naval ship PNS Khyber in Türkiye, calling it a major boost to Pakistan’s maritime security capabilities.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the premier said the induction of PNS Khyber would further strengthen Pakistan’s ability to safeguard its sea borders. He described defence cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye as a reflection of mutual trust and longstanding brotherly relations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that strengthening naval power is essential for protecting Pakistan’s economy, trade routes and maritime interests.
