Islamabad, Dec 22 — The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking, conducting seven targeted operations across major cities and near educational institutions, leading to the arrest of nine suspects and the seizure of 202.71 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs204 million.



According to an ANF spokesperson, special focus was placed on curbing drug distribution around educational institutions. In one such operation near a university in Islamabad, ANF officials recovered 2.4 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle and arrested two suspects. During interrogation, the accused confessed to supplying drugs to students of educational institutions, highlighting a growing concern over narcotics access among youth.
In separate domestic interdiction operations, ANF recovered 150 kilograms of hashish from two motorcyclists in Allahabad, District Kasur. Another major seizure was made at Bilal Chowrangi in Karachi, where 42 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from a rickshaw and two individuals were taken into custody.
Further recoveries included 4.5 kilograms of hashish seized from a car near a hotel on GT Road in District Nowshera, 3.6 kilograms from a suspect near Mandi Mor in Rawalpindi, and 200 grams of weed from a motorcyclist in Islamnagar, Lahore Cantt. Additionally, 15 grams of weed were recovered from a watch box at a cargo office in Nazimabad, Karachi.
