Lahore, 24 December 2025: Mid-Career Management course (MCMC) delegation visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) as a part of their study tour aimed at enhancing their understanding of modern, technology-driven policing systems. According to PSCA spokesperson, the visiting delegation were warmly welcomed by COO (PSCA) Mustansar Feroze upon their arrival. COO (PSCA) gave them an overview about working mechanisms of Punjab Emergency Helpline 15 and its special feature with regard to new initiatives launched by PSCA regarding conference call, predictive policing, public safety app through which citizens can easily connect through PSCA.
Mustansar Feroze further briefed the participants about another distinctive feature of PSCA regarding emergency calls by minorities which are escalated on priority basis and improvements made in police response time. The MCMC delegation also visited Virtual Blood Bank, Virtual Center for Child Safety (‘Mera Pyara’) and Virtual Women Police Station. The participants showed keen interest in visiting various sections of PSCA and described their study tour as highly informative and enlightening. They also asked several questions regarding working mechanism of various sections at PSCA during the briefing session which were satisfactorily addressed by COO (PSCA).
The spokesperson further said that COO (PSCA) apprised the delegation about PSCA’s advanced AI-based systems and their effective role in public safety and law enforcement mechanism. The participants also visited Electronic Data Analysis Center and E-Ticketing Center, where they were briefed about modern digital surveillance, data processing and integrated traffic management systems. The delegation members were also given a comprehensive overview of Operations Monitoring Center and its effective role with regard to ensuring effective citywide security monitoring. The spokesperson further added that the MCMC delegation was also apprised about “Meri Pehchan” a distinctive initiative of PSCA, a project designed to facilitate lost and deceased citizens identification and public service delivery.
The spokesperson stated that COO (PSCA) Mustansir Feroze briefed the delegation about practical application of advanced technology at PSCA and its positive impact relating to crime prevention and public safety. The spokesperson said that participants were informed about new version of Women Safety App as well as about Panic Buttons installed in the female educational institutions, in commercial areas and on the main roads of Lahore. They were further briefed about benefits of Panic Buttons through which citizens can immediately inform Punjab Emergency Helpline 15 in case of occurrence of any emergency or untoward situation and the citizens will be provided prompt assistance by the police at the emergency site.
The spokesperson added that COO (PSCA) also briefed participants about range of coverage of PSCA special features in various districts across Punjab. The spokesperson further stated that the main objective of MCMC delegation study tour was to familiarize them with modern, efficient and technology-integrated policing systems which enables PSCA to contribute effectively towards maintaining law and order along with ensuring a safer environment for citizens. At the end of the visit, shields were also exchanged and a group photo was also held.
