Beijing: The Pakistan-China Business Forum (PCBF) has inaugurated its sub-branch in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral trade and investment cooperation within China’s Yangtze River Delta region.
Located in one of China’s most dynamic economic hubs, the Hangzhou office will focus on enhancing collaboration in key sectors including information technology, textiles, e-commerce, manufacturing, and the digital economy. It will also support Pakistani companies seeking access to the vast YRD market by providing market intelligence, policy guidance, and business matchmaking services.
Speaking at the inauguration, Pakistan’s Consul General in Shanghai, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, highlighted Hangzhou’s strong innovation ecosystem and e-commerce strength, noting its potential for cooperation in digital trade, logistics, and electric vehicle manufacturing.
Beyond commerce, the new PCBF sub-branch aims to promote cultural exchanges and tourism, further strengthening people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China.
