Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for a successful operation against Indian-backed Fitna al Khwarij in the Khar area of Bajaur district, in which five terrorists were eliminated.
In a statement issued from the Governor House, the governor lauded the professionalism, bravery, and operational competence of the security forces, calling the operation a major success in the fight against terrorism. He also paid heartfelt tribute to Major Adeel Zaman of Dera Ismail Khan, who embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire.
Expressing deep condolences and sympathy with the bereaved family, Governor Kundi said the nation salutes the supreme sacrifice of Major Adeel Zaman and all martyrs who laid down their lives for peace and security. He added that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the entire country remain indebted to their martyrs.
The governor emphasized that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s heroes would not go in vain and reaffirmed that the whole nation stands united with its armed forces in the ongoing war against terrorism.
