Turbat — The University of Turbat (UoT) has reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and faculty development as two of its faculty members demonstrated outstanding performance in an international training programme organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, the university continues to strengthen professional skills of its faculty through collaboration with national and international institutions. In this regard, Dr. Hani Abul Hassan and Ms. Ruqia Mirwani successfully completed an intensive 11-week Faculty Development Program focused on peacebuilding, countering violent extremism, social cohesion, and social entrepreneurship.
The programme combined online learning with in-person training sessions held in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, equipping participants with modern teaching methodologies and practical approaches to ethical education and community development.
According to a university spokesperson, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the faculty members on their active participation and praised their exemplary performance. He expressed confidence that the acquired knowledge and skills would positively impact students, the academic community, and the broader society.
The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony in Islamabad, marking it as a significant step toward youth empowerment, social enterprise growth, and sustainable peace.
