Quetta, 31 December 2025 (Independent Report) — Northern Balochistan is facing severe disruption as heavy snowfall blocks key routes in Pak-Afghan border areas and internal districts, leaving hundreds stranded. Areas including Tobah Kakri, Brashur, Loiy Band, Toba Achakzai, Muslim Bagh, Zhob, Khrovari Baba, Loralai, and Zhob-Sinjawi roads remain inaccessible. Locals report that PDMA machinery is deployed mainly on national highways, leaving remote regions without snow clearance. Citizens have appealed to the Chief Minister, Governor, and Corps Commander 12 Corps to immediately send resources to open roads in Pishin, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, and Qila Abdullah districts to prevent emergencies. Residents expressed frustration over wasted funds on unnecessary deployments and urged proactive measures to ensure access during snow emergencies. Timely intervention, they said, is critical to avoid further hardship and protect lives in remote communities
