Fresh controversy has erupted in Indian politics after senior political leader Santan Pandey made startling allegations regarding the 2019 Pulwama attack, once again bringing the incident under intense public and political scrutiny.
According to Indian news agency ANI, Santan Pandey alleged that the Pulwama attack was not the result of any foreign involvement but was instead used as a political conspiracy by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He claimed that the incident was exploited to inflame public emotions and secure political gains, while the blame was hastily placed on Pakistan without transparent investigation.
Pandey stated that the Modi government used the Pulwama attack to divert public attention from internal governance failures and mounting domestic challenges. He questioned the source of the RDX explosives used in the attack, noting that the government has yet to provide a clear and credible explanation to the Indian public even years after the incident.
The Indian leader further accused the BJP-led government of making allegations without presenting solid evidence, adding that targeting Pakistan without conclusive proof has become a recurring pattern. He also alleged that so-called “false flag operations” are used to manipulate public sentiment ahead of key political developments.
Referring to incidents such as the Mumbai attacks, Pulwama, Samjhauta Express, and Pahalgam, Pandey claimed these events were politically exploited to consolidate power. He asserted that Indian citizens are increasingly recognizing these tactics and questioning the Modi government’s policies.
Following these remarks, debate over the Pulwama attack has once again intensified across India’s political landscape.
