Islamabad, Jan 3: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out seven operations across multiple cities, arresting five accused and recovering 40.25 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs6.3 million.
According to ANF, international drug interdiction efforts led to the seizure of 615 grams of ecstasy pills from a courier office in Gulberg, Lahore. The parcel was destined for Dubai.
In domestic operations, 18 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a rickshaw near GT Road, Peshawar, resulting in the arrest of the suspect. Near Mangla Road in Dina, 11.38 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) concealed in clothing were seized from a suspect. In Yaro, District Pishin, 7 kilograms of ice were recovered from a vehicle near a hotel, and two suspects were apprehended.

Additional recoveries included 2.4 kilograms of hashish from a woman’s bag near a park on Ring Road, Peshawar; 500 grams of hashish from a parcel at a courier office in Hayatabad, Peshawar; and 356 grams of hashish near a petrol pump in Kashrot, District Gilgit.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations are underway.
