Lasbela Police arrested two suspected car lifters and recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla during a snap-checking operation on the RCD Road near Zero Point, Uthal.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was conducted under the supervision of DSP Uthal Hasil Khan Qambrani, following directives from SSP Lasbela Atif Amir to take strict action against criminal elements. SHO Uthal Yar Muhammad Commando, along with police personnel, intercepted a suspicious vehicle traveling from Karachi to Quetta.
The suspects identified themselves as Kaleemullah of Qila Abdullah and Bahawal Din of Pishin. Verification revealed that the vehicle, bearing registration number AVA-810, had been stolen from the jurisdiction of a Karachi police station.
Further investigation disclosed that the suspects had altered the vehicle’s engine number to conceal its identity. Police registered FIR No. 02/2026 under sections 411, 420, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code and initiated further investigation.
SSP Lasbela reiterated a zero-tolerance policy against criminal activities and stated that operations against organized crime would continue across the district.
