Independent Report
By Abbass Chishti Sibi:
Citizens of Sibi have expressed growing concerns over traffic violations and illegal encroachments on major roads, urging the district administration, municipal committee, and police to take immediate action.
Residents say overloading, one-way violations, illegal parking, and speeding have become daily causes of traffic jams and accidents, resulting in loss of lives and property. The situation is especially alarming near schools, hospitals, markets, and busy intersections.
Illegal street stalls, unauthorized expansion of shops, encroached sidewalks, and parked vehicles are not only obstructing smooth traffic flow but also endangering pedestrians. Citizens note that due to blocked sidewalks, people are forced to walk on the roads, increasing the risk of accidents.
They have demanded an increase in traffic police personnel, strict action against illegal parking, and public awareness campaigns to promote adherence to traffic rules. Residents emphasized that permanent operations against encroachments are necessary to ensure lasting solutions rather than temporary measures.
Local communities hope that the district administration, municipal committee, and traffic police will collaborate to implement a comprehensive strategy, making Sibi’s roads safer and more accessible for all citizens.
