Quetta – The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning for a new spell of rain and snowfall across several districts in Balochistan. Heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected in Mastung, Kharan, Chagai, Nushki, Loralai, Barkhan, Zhob, Musakhel, Sibi, Kech, Panjgur, Turbat, Gwadar, and Lasbela. Mountainous regions including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Kalat, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Pishin, Nushki, Zhob, and Harnai may experience moderate to heavy snowfall, affecting roads and reducing temperatures below freezing. Authorities have advised residents and tourists in upper regions to avoid unnecessary travel and remain prepared for emergencies. The meteorological alert emphasizes potential flash floods in some areas due to heavy rainfall. Officials urged communities to take precautions and cooperate with local administrations to mitigate risks during adverse weather conditions.
