Pakistan Warns Terror Networks of Total Elimination as Prime Minister Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Policy

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, warning that militant groups threatening national security will be dealt with decisively. Addressing members of the National Peace Message Committee, the prime minister stressed that unity, tolerance, and interfaith harmony are critical to defeating extremism and strengthening the state.
He recalled that Pakistan was founded on the principle of equal rights for all citizens, highlighting the contributions of religious scholars and minority communities during the independence movement. The prime minister said Pakistan is endowed with vast natural resources worth trillions of dollars, which, if properly utilized, could help eliminate poverty, reduce unemployment, and free the country from chronic debt.
Referring to security challenges, he said Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the global fight against terrorism, with more than 100,000 citizens sacrificing their lives. He added that credible evidence exists of coordination between cross-border terrorist groups and hostile elements, vowing that such networks would be dismantled completely through national resolve, strong institutions, and collective unity.
