The Kech Sports and Fitness Festival concluded on a high note with a football final between Haji Liaquat Club Karachi and DC Eleven Kech. Haji Liaquat Club Karachi emerged victorious, defeating DC Eleven Kech by two goals to one.
Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi attended the closing ceremony as chief guest. Other notable attendees included Deputy Commissioner Kech Bashir Ahmed Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Turbat Muhammad Hanif Kabzai, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kech Maqbool Anwar, Chairman Anjuman-e-Tajran Kech Nisar Ahmed Jaskani, Seth Ijaz Ahmed, Waja Muhammad Bakhsh, renowned Balochi singers Ustad Arif Baloch and Shahjahan Dawoodi, and famous banjo master Ustad Noor Bakhsh.
Addressing the ceremony, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi praised the district administration and festival organizers for promoting sports in Turbat, saying the festival had created hope, positivity, and healthy activity among youth. He expressed hope that such events would continue and expand to other parts of Kech district, adding that he would raise the matter of sports development in Balochistan with the Chief Minister.
Deputy Commissioner Kech Bashir Ahmed Baloch termed the festival a historic success, calling it more than just an event and highlighting the massive public participation, including women. Festival Secretary Altaf Sakhi revealed that an estimated 25,000 spectators attended the football final, marking a record for a one-day sports event in Kech.
At the conclusion, the winning team received a trophy and Rs500,000 in prize money, while the runner-up team was awarded Rs250,000. Cash prizes were also distributed among marathon winners, and the Deputy Commissioner announced government employment for the marathon champion. The ceremony concluded with musical performances by renowned Balochi artists.
