The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its nationwide campaign against drug trafficking, carrying out four successful operations in different cities and arresting four suspects. During the operations, authorities seized 79.18 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs77 million, dealing a significant blow to drug networks.
In an international drug interdiction effort, ANF officials at Islamabad International Airport recovered eight cocaine-filled capsules weighing 180 grams from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Saudi Arabia.
On the domestic front, ANF teams intercepted a vehicle near Gadap Town, Karachi, recovering 72 kilograms of hashish and arresting two accused. In another operation near the Northern Bypass in Karachi, six kilograms of hashish were seized from a vehicle and one suspect was taken into custody.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, one kilogram of hashish concealed inside a cricket bat was recovered from a courier office located on Ring Road.
According to an ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway to trace wider trafficking networks.
