Quetta, Jan 19, 2026: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has commended the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for successfully foiling a major terrorist plan in Mastung, highlighting the professionalism and precise intelligence that prevented potential harm to civilians and security personnel.
The Chief Minister said the Mastung operation showcased the vigilance, skill, and effective coordination of Balochistan’s law enforcement agencies, sending a strong signal that the province offers no refuge to terrorist elements. He emphasized that the provincial government continues to fully support security forces in safeguarding lives and property.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti lauded the dedication and sacrifices of the CTD and other law enforcement agencies, noting that Balochistan is becoming increasingly inhospitable for hostile actors. He reaffirmed that counter-terrorism operations will proceed without pause until terrorist threats are completely neutralized and lasting peace is established throughout the province
