Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has directed an immediate halt to all preparations related to Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Sources said the team management will be informed later regarding the future course of action.
According to officials, the PCB has also asked the team management to prepare a parallel plan in case Pakistan does not participate in the tournament. The decision comes amid uncertainty following Bangladesh’s refusal to travel to India due to security concerns, a stance Pakistan has fully supported.
Sources added that Pakistan considers Bangladesh’s security concerns valid and has maintained that unresolved issues could impact its own participation decision. The PCB is closely monitoring regional developments and diplomatic engagements. A final decision regarding participation will be made after further consultations at the board and government levels
