Islamabad: Balochistan Awami Party Senator Danish Kumar Palyani has said that Balochistan is rich in natural beauty, resources, and capable people, yet it continues to be portrayed negatively at the national level, which he termed unjust.
Speaking in the Senate, Senator Palyani criticized the exclusion of Balochistan’s federal ministers during the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Quetta for a road project inauguration. He said such actions reinforce the perception that Balochistan is being ignored in national decision-making.
The senator also raised concerns over bureaucratic attitudes, stating that even elected representatives are often denied proper access and attention. “If parliamentarians are not heard, how can common people expect their issues to be resolved?” he questioned.
Highlighting the province’s importance, he said Balochistan holds vast mineral wealth and agricultural potential that can significantly strengthen Pakistan’s economy. He emphasized that Pakistan’s development is impossible without Balochistan, calling it the heart of the country and urging respectful engagement with its people.
